This is a free downloadable program that is a must-have for all users, regardless of which anti-virus program they have. It will scan your PC for problems like malware, adware, and some viruses.
It is suggested you run Malwarebytes (MWB) every night or when you sleep, as it can take several hours to finish. It is best if you have an internet connection when you run it so it can update itself with the latest definitions.
Be sure you click the option to scan for rootkits under Settings > Detection and Protection
